Welcome to the Briggsdale County Shootists (BCS) at the Pawnee Sportsman Center. The Briggsdale County Shootists are located in
Northeastern Colorado on land that was once the home to Indian tribes, buffalo, range wars and cowboys. It is still surrounded today
by working cattle ranches, much like it was 150 years ago, and provides cowboy Action Shooters with that Old West feeling.
The Briggsdale County Shootists were born on January 17, 2010. We are a fully sanctioned and affiliated member of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS)
and pride ourselves in providing its’ shooters with FUN, FAST, CLOSE and CLEAN shooting stages. After each main match we also offer a challenging shotgun
only stage and a combination pistol and rifle knockdown shooting gallery stage, for those who want some more shooting and would like to try something a little
different. Who knows, you might win a free shoot for the next month. The Briggsdale County Shootists shoot our regular matches the 4th Saturday of each month all year ‘round, weather permitting.
Our “ALMOST AN ANNUAL” shoot is held in September and consists of a FAST 5 stage Main Match, then lunch followed by a swap meet and novelty shoots with cash paybacks!
For those who really want to try something challenging and different, we offer our 5th Sunday “Old Briggsdale” style shoots. These non-SASS cowboy shoots test
your skills with longer range and moving targets, shotgun poppers, flying birds and the Briggsdale original “Medusa” shotgun target.
We have a great group of regular Cowboy/Cowgirl shooters and are always looking for more folks to join us at our various matches. The Briggsdale County Shootists
encourages new and veteran shooters alike to give us a try. Anyone interested in checking out the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting is welcome
and we will be happy to answer all your questions. You can observe the action and even shoot a stage after the match. Please check out the other
