The Shootists Society of Pawnee Sportsmen
Center started back in 2002. We started in conjunction with Penosa
Perpetrator as part of the Pawnee Sportsmen Center. We have
since, recently, become our own entity and are under the new title
of the Briggsdale County Shootists.
We remain under the
auspices of the Pawnee Sportsmen Center. Our range is in the same
place (see the
Hours and
Directions page), and is open to the public on Friday, Saturday
and Sunday (see the
Hours and
Directions page).
We are a Single
Action Shooting Society (S.A.S.S.) sanctioned Cowboy Action Shooting
club with many unique and moving targets! Looking for a challenge
with a sense of humor? Look no further! We have targets that throw
birds, targets that swing, targets that defy you to hit them! We
have the space and the ability to have a long range shoot out to 500
yards. If you have a clean match your name will be displayed with a
few others on the plaque in the office. There aren’t very many! Come
and try your luck!
Visitors are always welcome to our shoots,
but eye and ear protection must be worn. Eye and ear protection are
available at the club house for purchase. Please check in at the
club house when you arrive, whether you are shooting or just here to
watch and join the fun!
Since we are located approximately 19 miles
east of Ault on Highway 14, so be sure to bring food and water or
drinks with you. No alcohol is allowed.
Briggsdale County Shootists aims to be the
most unique shoot you have ever been to! So come along, try your
hand at the Medusas! Join in the fun some with some great good old
guys and gals!
You may find this is just what you have
been looking for!!
